What is incremental backup?
Incremental backup is a type of backup, when first a total backup is conducted, with consequential backups performed to the same folder. All but the first backups can backup only the changed files. (Do not confuse with differential backup
When do I backup incrementally?
The most obvious use for incremental backup is when you need to backup only the modified files. This is most useful when only several of a large set of files have been updated.
How to I apply incremental backup?
To employ the said backup type, you need to find a backup program which has incremental backup among its features. Simply check the corresponding radio-button or checkbox where appropriate and enjoy incremental backup.
