What is backup?
Backup is a process or a result of a process of copying your files to another location. It can be an external hard disk, a CD or DVD, an FTP or WebDAV server, a network computer or even a flash USB drive. In any case, the files are copied to preserve them in case something nasty happens to the originals, like a hard disk crash or worse.
